SMT Hotspot Tool 1.32 — Updated October 22, 2026 01. Welcome to SMT 1.32 Welcome to SMT Hotspot Tool version one point thirty two. This tour starts with account access, then covers USB repair menus, firmware options, band selection, Remote Mods, and support. Fresh interface captures use labeled example devices. No live modem repairs are performed in this video. 02. Account access New customers can register from the tool. Existing customers can continue with their SMT account and use the same account on the website. Keep passwords and remote tokens private. Your account shows repair credits, eligible license coverage, and the devices you have enrolled for supported remote controls. 03. Start with the instructions Review the current service agreement and connection instructions before starting. The display size control helps fit the workspace to your screen. Follow the instructions for the modem that was actually detected, including any battery or reboot preparation required by the service you choose. 04. The repair workspace Connect your supported modem by USB, then select Detect USB device. Check the detected model before choosing a repair. The sidebar keeps service information, credits, support, and Remote Mods together. Version one point thirty two adds clearer guidance when a Netgear modem takes longer to reconnect after a reboot. 05. Netgear service paths The Netgear menu separates local repairs from firmware flashing. Choose the repair path for an individual service, or select Firmware Flash when you intend to write firmware. Confirm the actual connected model and the intended package before continuing. Similar product names do not establish firmware compatibility. 06. Choose a Netgear repair The Netgear repair menu offers individual I M E I repair, T T L and hop limit, and carrier unlock choices, along with combined repairs. Band controls are available for supported connections. Choose the correct operation for the selected modem and review the displayed charge before starting. 07. Inseego repair menus Inseego keeps its familiar repair menus and model specific instructions. Available operations depend on the detected modem and firmware. Follow the battery, download mode, and reboot prompts shown for your selected service. Opening a menu in this walkthrough does not perform an unlock, repair, or firmware flash. 08. Firmware only by default Firmware only remains the default. Select only the optional repairs you want after flashing: I M E I, T T L and hop limit, or carrier unlock. The existing identifier assistant is available from the repair option. Keep USB and power connected while the writer runs, and let the tool verify reconnection afterward. 09. LTE and 5G band selection Band selection uses the supported bands reported by the actual modem. This example shows the reviewed M R sixty one ten interface, including its L T E and five G choices. Automatic restores the original profile. Available bands and reset recovery depend on the exact modem, firmware, and installed service. 10. New: clearer USB recovery After a Netgear reboot, the tool first waits for the modem to return automatically. If verification is still waiting after ninety seconds, a clear notice explains what to do. Keep the modem powered, unplug its USB cable from the computer, wait five seconds, then reconnect it. The task remains pending until readback succeeds. 11. New: checked completion Version one point thirty two retries opening a temporarily refused command connection without replaying repair commands that were already sent. Carrier completion is checked against the modem lock status after reboot. On the reviewed M R sixty one ten profile, carrier recovery is saved before reboot. This diagram explains the workflow; it is not a live unlock result. 12. Flash Types and model guidance Flash Types brings supported models, service information, restrictions, and pricing into the tool. Look up your modem before selecting a task. Local USB support and Remote Mods support are separate. A model appearing in the general directory does not mean every remote operation is available on every firmware version. 13. Credits and repair access The Buy Credits page keeps repair access in the workspace. Eligible repair licenses cover their listed services, while Remote Mods device plans are billed separately. Review your current credits, license coverage, and plan pricing in your account before requesting a paid service. Signal and manual connection checks are shown separately from repair charges. 14. Remote Mods in the tool Remote Mods keeps your enrolled devices and their supported controls together. Use the firmware check and your account linked token to pair a supported modem. After setup, the modem needs its own working Internet connection for remote requests. Last reported values show the latest stored readings; request a current check when needed. 15. Remote controls on the website Sign in on the website to access the saved device workspace for supported Netgear and Inseego connections. Review the model and device name before sending a task. Groups help organize multiple devices, while card controls support renaming and removal. These account screens and readings are simulated interface examples. 16. Run a speed test when you choose Remote tasks show progress while a request is running. A speed test starts only when you select it; it does not run automatically. The result reports download and upload speed. Other operations show their own status and available readback. The progress illustrated here is simulated and is not a measurement of a real modem. 17. Support in your workspace Use Live Chat for support, or the Remote support workspace for ConnectMe assistance. Follow the official session workflow and share a connection code only with the support person you intend to reach. This walkthrough does not open a real remote assistance session or expose a customer password or token. 18.
